Hexagon 6

This is not the new name of a new boy band (though it could be!)
Three dimensional cubes also look like regular Hexagons when they are filled with flat colour, and this is what inspired this cover design. The colours were overlapped using the multiply effect in illustrator. The lines in the background enhance the shapes of the main design. I used Myriad Pro for the type.

Take a Pill

These designs were inspired by the famous red pill / blue pill scene from the original Matrix film. Do you choose to play safe or take a chance? Choose wisely… Graphics created in Illustrator and the font is Bank Gothic.

Make my Day

This design is obviously inspired by the famous character Dirty Harry from the 1970's films. But instead of holding a magnum 44 he is now holding a petrol pump. I created the montage in Photoshop, and the typeface is Impact.
Petrol is one of the world's most important commodities - God help us when it runs out...

Design on the go!

So many of us now have iPhones, iPads and the like, so with the correct apps we can create designs (albeit simple ones) on the go. These simple designs and sketches were created with Doodle Buddy, a free app, but there are many to choose from. At the end of the day these are not going to replace Illustrator and Photoshop, but if you are out and about and feel inspired then there's no excuse!

Over the edge

The edge graphic was created from a single letter - 'e'. I noticed that you can make the 'd' and 'g' from the letter e - hope its still readable. The animated version is just a bit of fun. Font is OCR-A.

Pig Dog

This design came about because our little dog eats like a pig! All the graphics were created in Illustrator from an initial scanned in sketch. The font is Futura Extra Bold. The plan is to print this on a t-shirt, so will post this when completed.

Angel

This graphic was intended for a t-shirt design to be printed in one or two flat colours. The illustration and type were created using Illustrator. I added some inner and outer glow effects to this version but these would not appear on the final shirt. The text is set in Bank Gothic.

Happy Easter

I thought it might be nice to create a little design to celebrate Easter and my love of chocolate easter eggs. The graphic was created in Illustrator using simple blends. The typeface is Calibri bold. Enjoy your chocs…!

Say no to noise

A poster to promote awareness about increasing noise in our modern lifestyles. The typeface is simply Helvetica and the noise effect was created in Photoshop. Page layout was completed using Quark Xpress.
