I had a strange dream a while back where trees were covered in grenades instead of fruit - maybe I had been eating cheese that night?! Anyway, this graphic represents that dream. I guess you could say that it also represents life in many ways... things are not always what they seem. All graphics drawn in Illustrator using the font Zapfino.

Big, bad and ugly?
As there has been much publicity about dangerous and aggressive dogs (which are quite rare) I decided to create a design to demonstrate that most dogs are just friendly, fluffy pets. I hope this proves my point! The fonts are Circus, Mesquite and Copperplate.

Theres been a Murder!
I created these design options in Illustrator to advertise a murder mystery weekend. The wavy lines that merge with the blood represent sound waves - as the delegates were sound engineers. The other design is a more generic crime scene. The typefaces are Vademecum and Impact.

Watching You
After seeing the latest Big Brother icon for series 12, I thought I would have a go at creating an eye icon for myself. The new one is a complex 3D logo but I thought I would stick to something simple. This graphic was created in Illustrator using the multiply feature for the colours. I also created a repeat pattern from the same graphic to add a bit of interest.

Fathers Day
This graphic was created for a mailer to celebrate Fathers Day, which in the UK is on the 17th June. As a card design, the roundel graphic can also be used as a badge. The font is Rockwell Bold.

Sound Journey
This graphic is based on a typical motorway sign found all over the UK. The design was produced in Illustrator and a 'Free Distort' filter was applied to create the perspective. The font is Info Text.

Lights... camera... action
This design was created for an email campaign to advertise a product launch that was taking place in a local cinema. The graphics were created in Illustrator and the simple animation was produced in Photoshop with only 2 frames, and exported as a GIF file. Don't forget your popcorn!

Roll up... Roll up
After a recent visit to the Circus I felt really inspired to create some carnival style graphics.
After some initial sketches, I used Illustrator to create the big top - drawing one half and then using a mirror image to create the other side. The type and graphics are based on the fonts Mesquite and Rosewood with some custom adaption. I used a flag warp on the scroll to create movement. The colour palette, red and yellow was the only obvious choice. Hope you enjoy it!
