This paper cut design is one of the most complex I have created so far with over 40 single elements and a very fiddly script to hand cut. I have tried to make the castle more homely with curtains and a washing line!

Gravity
No matter how high you get - you always have to come back to Earth! Gravity is the most powerful force in the universe and if it wasn't we would all be floating in Space by now!

Odd One Out
This design was created from paper shapes cut with a scalpel from coloured paper. It just makes a change from working on the Mac all the time which can be a bit tedious, and it creates a hand made feel which is difficult to achieve with digital software.

Collieflower
A 3D paper cut design based on the world play between 'cauliflower' and 'collie flower'. All elements cut and assembled by hand from coloured card. The collie is one of my favourite dogs and I think it makes a great subject for a minimal graphic.

Sp-oil
This paper cut design is based on the word play between 'spoil' and 'oil' and highlights the fact that although oil is a precious commodity, when it spills it can be devastating to wildlife and the environment.

Innovate Stand
I created this exhibition stand to launch a new product range. The concept was to have a modern but serious looking stand, so I suggested black gloss panels with matt black trim and green LED trims. The design was created in Illustrator.

Feel the Bass
This graphic was created to promote a unique new speaker system that adapts to the shape and size of the environment. I used Illustrator to create the design and the font is Infotext Medium. The design represents beams of sound reaching the people from a central source.

G/Astronomy
The only difference between the words 'Astronomy' and 'Gastronomy' is the letter G. Thats why I love the English language - many similar words have totally different meanings. This paper cut design is based on both words and was hand cut from patterned and metallic paper. I also embossed the cutlery handles.

Bat
I love word play, for example the word 'bat' can mean several things in the English language - the flying animal, bat your lashes or a sports bat. I created this paper cut design using only white card as I think it creates a nice effect - only the shadows and highlights define the shapes.

Paper Ape
The word 'paper' also contains the word 'ape' - so I thought I could make an ape out of paper to demonstrate the word play. All elements hand cut from coloured card and assembled with foam spacers.

A-Hole
What is the whole in the letter A called? The A-Hole of course!
All elements hand cut from coloured paper and assembled with foam pads.

Up Up Away
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to float up into the sky? Everyone loves balloons - so heres a little 3D paper cut to celebrate them! All elements hand cut from coloured paper and assembled with foam spacers to create depth. I also used origami paper in this design for the girls dress.
